Surah Yaseen 4.01

Surah Yaseen, also known as the Heart of the Quran, is an Islamic Smartphone application that allows Muslims worldwide to benefit from the profound blessings of this special chapter in the Holy Quran.

1. Reading Surah Yaseen upon waking up can invoke Allah to fulfill all of your needs for that day. According to Hadhrat ‘Ataa’ bin Abi Ribaah (Radhiyallahu Anhu), the Prophet Mohamed (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) reportedly said, "Whoever reads Surah Yaseen at the beginning of the day, all their needs for that day will be fulfilled."

2. Surah Yaseen is equivalent to reading the entire Quran 10 times. As stated by Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A and Dhahabi, "Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Glorious Quran is Surah Yaseen. Whoever reads Surah Yaseen, Allah records for them a reward equal to that of reading the whole Quran 10 times."

3. Memorizing Surah Yaseen invokes the blessings of Allah. It is said that Allah recited Surah Yaseen and Surah Taha for a thousand years before the creation of Heaven and Earth. Upon hearing this, the angels said, "Blessing is for the Ummah unto whom the Quran will be sent down. Blessing is for the hearts that will memorize it, and blessing is for the tongues that will recite it."

4. Surah Yaseen invokes the mercy of Allah for the forgiveness of your sins. By reading Surah Yaseen solely for the pleasure of Allah, all previous sins are forgiven. Therefore, it is recommended to read this Surah over the deceased.

5. Surah Yaseen benefits the reader in both this life and the Hereafter. According to one hadith, Surah Yaseen is named in the Torah as "Mun’imah," meaning "Giver of Good Things." This is because it contains benefits for both the reader in this world and the next, removing afflictions and eliminating fear of the afterlife.

6. Surah Yaseen exalts the status of believers in both this world and the Hereafter. It is known as "Raafi’ah Khaafidhah," which means exalting the status of believers and degrading unbelievers. Prophet Mohamed (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) expressed his desire for Surah Yaseen to be present in the heart of every member of his Ummah.

7. By reciting Surah Yaseen every night, one attains the status of a shaheed or martyr, according to a specific hadith.

8. Surah Yaseen has the power to wipe out sins, alleviate hunger, and guide those who are lost. It brings forgiveness, satisfaction in times of hunger, direction in times of confusion, and success in finding lost possessions. It also eases the throes of death, aids in childbirth, and ensures sufficiency of food.

9. Reading Surah Yaseen abolishes fear from one's heart. Maqri (Rahmatullah Alaihi) stated, "If Surah Yaseen is read by one who fears a ruler or an enemy, they will be relieved of this fear."

10. Reading Surah Yaseen at night leads to the forgiveness of sins. The Prophet said, "Whoever recited Surah Yasin in the night seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah would forgive them."

Imam Ghazali once said, "Soundness of faith rests on acknowledging resurrection and judgment." Surah Yaseen contains many virtues, including its detailed discussion of resurrection and judgement.

In his commentary on Mishkat al-Masabih, Imam Tibi explains why Surah Yaseen is called the Heart of the Quran: "Because of what it contains. Overwhelming proof, decisive signs, subtle spiritual meanings, eloquent admonition, and stern warnings."
